Pavanam Font

Pavanam is a Tamil and Latin sans serif with lean strokes, open counters, and moderate spacing that stay readable even when the text gets dense or the size drops on mobile screens. The Tamil forms feel contemporary without losing their native character, while the Latin, adapted from Pontano Sans, aligns in rhythm and vertical metrics so bilingual lines sit comfortably together. It works especially well for long-form Tamil content, news-style layouts, and wayfinding or app interfaces that need calm, dependable typography instead of showy shapes. For heavily branded wordmarks or expressive display headlines, it can look a bit restrained, so you may want something more decorative alongside it.
