Modak Font

Modak is a portly display typeface with thick strokes, tiny counters, and closely packed shapes that feel almost like inflated lettering pressed together. Its curves are soft and highly rounded, giving words a bouncy, informal rhythm rather than a rigid typographic texture. Originally drawn for Devanagari and Latin, it works well when you want a single, highly expressive style across multilingual branding, playful book covers, or loud poster titles. I tend to reach for it when the design can handle big, chunky letterforms and minimal text; it quickly becomes overwhelming in dense paragraphs or small UI labels, where its weight and tight counters hurt readability.
