About

Coustard is a serif typeface with broad, confident strokes, moderate contrast, and open counters that keep it legible even at mid-range sizes. The proportions feel slightly chunky and grounded, so text sits heavily on the baseline rather than floating, which gives headlines a steady, no-nonsense character. Letterspacing is fairly tight by default, which helps short phrases and titles feel cohesive, but dense multi-line paragraphs can start to look blocky if you don’t add extra leading. Visually, it lands somewhere between a traditional book serif and a bold display face, so it suits straightforward brand voices, magazine-style hero text, and navigation labels more than delicate or luxury aesthetics. If you need a highly refined editorial serif or something very light and airy, this font will feel too heavy-handed.

Best For:
bold headlines
editorial hero text
simple logo wordmarks
blog and article titles

Not Ideal For:
dense long-form body text
high-end luxury branding
small UI labels
formal corporate reports

Perfect for branding, editorial, and headline, with a bold and display style.
