Coda leans on thick strokes, tight counters, and a compact, slightly geometric structure that naturally pushes text forward on the screen. The Heavy style carries most of the personality, with dense weight and modest contrast that reads clearly at medium to large sizes while saving visual bandwidth in layouts that are already busy. It gives interfaces, promotional graphics, and navigation labels a sturdy, utilitarian tone rather than a flashy or decorative one. If you like the firmness of display sans fonts but find some grotesques too harsh, Coda feels a bit softer and more grounded. It works best in short strings; longer paragraphs can quickly feel visually heavy and tiring to read.
