About

Londrina Shadow is a display typeface rooted in the informal street lettering culture of São Paulo, Brazil. Designed by Marcelo Magalhães, it features a built-in drop shadow that creates a layered, near-three-dimensional appearance without extra design effort. The letterforms carry a hand-crafted quality — slightly irregular, warm, and expressive — shaped by the everyday signage Magalhães observed across the city. It works particularly well on poster headlines, vinyl mockups, retro event flyers, and music packaging where text needs character without feeling corporate. That said, the shadow detail collapses at smaller sizes, making it unsuitable for anything below roughly 24pt. It also clashes with clean, minimal layouts where the font’s urban roughness creates tonal friction.

Best For:
event poster headlines, music festival signage, retro branding, social media display text

Not Ideal For:
small-size text, body copy, corporate or minimalist layouts

Perfect for advertising, branding, and headline, with a artistic and decorative style.
