Ewert features chunky slab serifs, Tuscan-style terminals, and shaded inner strokes that mimic old wood-type and poster lettering. The structure is sturdy and upright, but the cut-in details and ornamented legs keep it expressive rather than neutral. Spacing is relatively open for a display face, so short words and stacked headlines remain legible even at larger sizes, while longer phrases can start to feel heavy. It works nicely for things like street fair posters, retro game title cards, quirky bar or restaurant logos, and YouTube thumbnail text when you want a loud, showpiece word. For body copy, corporate decks, or anything that needs a calm reading rhythm, it becomes visually tiring and out of place.
