Tuer’s Cardboard Font

Featuring rugged contours and traditional serif proportions, Tuer’s Cardboard Font recreates the imperfect texture of nineteenth-century printed cardboard. The letterforms display uneven stroke weights, pitted terminals, and slightly rustic serifs that evoke genuine historical printmaking. Spacing between characters remains moderately open, which helps individual shapes stay recognizable across display headings and poster titles. In practical evaluation, the coarse erosion gives titles substantial character without requiring artificial distressing filters. However, the heavy degradation compromises legibility at reduced text scales, making the typeface poorly suited for dense paragraphs or delicate user interface labels. The design functions most effectively in large formats.
