Baston Font
Free for Commercial UseAbout
The defining quality of Baston lies in its weathered texture — every stroke carries a distressed, grunge-worn finish that mimics carved wood or eroded signage. Letters maintain consistent weight with rounded edges, but the surface is deliberately rough, creating visual tension between structural uniformity and textural chaos. This all-caps display font works powerfully when scale is generous: concert posters, craft brewery labels, skateboard graphics, or indie film titles where the worn aesthetic reinforces the brand’s rebellious or artisanal positioning. It supports both Latin and Greek character sets. However, the heavy distressing that makes Baston compelling at display sizes becomes problematic in body copy or UI elements — legibility drops sharply below 24pt, and the texture overwhelms rather than enhances. It’s not suited for projects requiring polish or precision, such as tech branding or formal event materials. Baston thrives when imperfection is the point.
