Rakkas Font

Rakkas is a single-weight display typeface with thick, calligraphic strokes, sharp angles, and compact curves that create a dense, dramatic texture on the page. The Arabic side draws on ruq’ah lettering from mid‑century Egyptian movie posters, while the Latin borrows blackletter structure but softens it with more informal shapes. It shines in large titles, film and music artwork, cultural event posters, restaurant or café wordmarks, and social graphics where you want a strong regional or artistic flavor rather than a neutral voice. For long paragraphs, small UI labels, or corporate reports, the heavy contrast and decorative forms quickly become tiring, so pairing it with a calm sans or serif works much better.

striking Arabic–Latin headlines and logotypes
film, music, or theater posters with a bold cultural tone
restaurant, café, or street-food branding that needs expressive lettering
social media title cards and thumbnail text at large sizes

Not Ideal For:
body text or long-reading layouts at small sizes
