New Rocker Font

New Rocker is a heavy blackletter display face with thick strokes, sharp angles, and tight spacing that creates a compact, almost “screaming” texture on the page. Its forms borrow from gothic and tattoo lettering, but the drawing is cleaner and more contemporary than many traditional blackletter revivals, so it reads better at modern display sizes. The single regular weight is punchy and dramatic, which works nicely for music posters, band identities, horror film key art, and bold merchandise graphics where subtlety is not the goal. However, the aggressive shapes quickly become tiring in paragraphs or small captions, so it’s better kept for short, attention-grabbing words rather than extended reading.
