Wavefont replaces traditional letterforms with smooth vertical bars whose height, width, and corner radius respond to variable axes for weight, roundness, and vertical alignment. Digits, letters, and extended characters map to numeric values, so a line of text becomes a dense bar chart or waveform that can be tuned from razor-thin to heavy and rounded just by changing font settings. This gives designers and developers a compact, code-friendly way to embed spectrums, histograms, and time-series shapes inside interfaces, prototypes, and editorial layouts without touching image exports. It shines when data density and visual rhythm matter more than legibility, but it is a poor fit for running copy, accessibility-critical labels, or branding that depends on recognizable characters.
