Molle carries the visual weight of old Italian print culture — literally. Each letterform sits heavy toward the baseline, with strokes that lean forward and thicken as they descend, giving the type a sense of momentum and forward pull. This bottom-heavy construction builds a strong visual rhythm at display sizes without relying on ornamental extras. The italic-only style sits somewhere between formal calligraphy and loosened brush script — expressive, but not wild.

Where Molle earns its place: vintage restaurant signage, retro event posters, boutique product packaging, or editorial pull quotes where voice matters more than neutrality. That said, the same weight distribution that creates drama at 72pt turns muddy and illegible below 14pt, and its single-style, italic-only character set makes it entirely unsuitable for body copy, UI labels, or anything requiring extended reading.
