Londrina Outline Font

Londrina Outline is part of the Londrina super-family, designed by Marcelo Magalhães and drawn directly from the informal, hand-painted lettering found across São Paulo’s urban landscape. The font uses a grotesque sans-serif skeleton rendered entirely as outlines — no fill, just clean strokes enclosing empty space. That hollow structure makes headlines feel airy and open, which creates natural room for layering: overlay it with color blocks, textures, or its sibling Londrina Solid for contrast-driven compositions. It genuinely excels on festival branding, streetwear apparel graphics, and bold editorial spreads where negative space is part of the design intent. However, the outline-only construction falls apart at small sizes, where strokes collapse into noise. Body text and formal documents are a hard mismatch — this font has one mode, and subtlety isn’t it.
