Carattere is a slanted script with long, looping ascenders, soft entry strokes, and tightly knit connections that read like a practiced calligrapher’s hand. The weight sits in a comfortable medium range, with fine hairlines and thicker curves that create a graceful rhythm rather than loud contrast. Letterforms lean strongly to the right, spacing is compact, and many characters include decorative terminals, which helps short words look lush but can feel busy in dense lines. It works especially well for wedding invitations, upscale event titles, boutique logos, and social media graphics where a single phrase needs to feel romantic and polished. For long paragraphs, small sizes, or highly functional UI text, the ornate structure quickly hurts legibility, so it’s better kept for display roles and selective emphasis.
