Babylonica is a dry brush script with calligraphic strokes, visible texture, and a consistent italic slant that occasionally shifts to more upright forms, giving it a restless, hand-drawn energy. Strokes taper and swell like real ink on rough paper, with loose connections, generous curves, and enough spacing that short words remain legible even at larger sizes. On designs, it leans toward romantic and expressive rather than neutral: think wedding stationery, boutique logos, cosmetic packaging, or quote overlays where personality matters more than strict readability. For long passages, UI copy, or serious editorial layouts, the texture and angle can become tiring, so it is better treated as accent lettering than everyday text.
