About

Asset is a heavy, high-contrast serif with wide proportions, compressed counters, and sharp vertical stress that echo vintage banknote engraving. The strokes swing from hairline thins to dense slabs, so letters feel almost carved rather than simply drawn, which naturally pulls the eye at large sizes. It carries a theatrical, “fat face” vibe: ornamental yet still disciplined enough for serious, finance-flavored work. Used on magazine-style mastheads, liquor labels, or retro money-themed posters, it gives a loud, cinematic presence; on the other hand, its extreme contrast and tight spacing make it clumsy and tiring in paragraphs or UI. Think of it as a louder cousin of classic didone display serifs—best when you need only a few, very confident words.

Best For:
bold headlines
vintage money-themed posters
retro luxury branding
short title graphics

Not Ideal For:
long paragraphs
small-size captions
formal body text layouts
dense UI interfaces

Perfect for advertising, branding, and headline, with a bold and display style.
