Anonymous Clippings Font
Free for personal useAbout
Anonymous Clippings uses irregular, sharply cut shapes and uneven baselines to imitate letters pieced together from newspaper clippings, giving text a rough, distorted feel. The strokes are heavy and high-contrast, spacing is inconsistent on purpose, and characters vary in size, so headlines feel noisy and unpredictable rather than clean or balanced. It works well for horror artwork, thriller book covers, gritty band posters, and Halloween promotions where a chaotic, ransom-note energy is desirable. However, it becomes tiring and hard to read in long text or small sizes, and it does not suit professional or corporate communication. Use it sparingly as a graphic accent rather than a general-purpose typeface.
Best For:
horror movie posters and titles
halloween event flyers and banners
grunge or punk band artwork
zines and underground event graphics
Not Ideal For:
long paragraph text
corporate reports or presentations
formal branding systems
user interfaces or app text
Perfect for advertising, headline, and logo, with a creative and decorative style.
