Built on FONTWORKS’ Klee One foundation, LXGW WenKai TC reshapes that source material into a kaishu (regular script) style — structured but never stiff. Stroke weight carries a moderate contrast: slightly heavier verticals against lighter horizontals, with generous inter-character spacing that holds up well across extended reading. The glyph set follows traditional character conventions preferred in Taiwan and Hong Kong, including full BIG5 coverage and regional Cantonese and Hokkien characters rarely seen in mainland-focused fonts. This makes it genuinely useful for Traditional Chinese publishing, not just decorative.
