Faustina is a text-focused serif with slightly condensed proportions, strong straight serifs, and rounded terminals that give paragraphs a steady yet approachable rhythm. Its generous x‑height, elliptical bowls, and open counters stay clear at small sizes and hold up on lower-quality paper or modest screen resolutions, which is why it was developed for newspapers, magazines, and other demanding editorial environments. In practice, it works especially well for book interiors, long-form articles, and content-heavy blogs where you want a bit more personality than generic “workhorse” serifs. If you need ultra-neutral corporate typography or extremely tight UI layouts, though, its press-inspired character and serif structure can feel a bit too present.
