Alexandras Stempelkasten is a distressed display typeface that looks like text hammered out with worn rubber stamps, with crumbled edges, speckled ink texture, and letters that sit unevenly on the baseline. The spacing feels intentionally inconsistent, giving headlines a raw, analogue look that recalls photocopied flyers, underground zines, and protest graphics. It works well when used large on gig posters, escape room branding, horror titles, or album art where you want visible noise and urgency. However, the distortion and irregular metrics make it poorly suited to body copy, small sizes, or clean corporate layouts, where it quickly becomes tiring and hard to read. Use it sparingly as an accent face and pair it with a simple sans serif if you need supporting text.
