Newside FP is a distressed display typeface with bold, blocky letterforms that appear heavily eroded along their edges and interiors. The strokes are thick with irregular roughness, giving the design a noticeably worn and textured appearance. Character widths feel fairly standard, but the uneven contours and chipped details create a busy surface that draws attention more than it supports quiet reading. Spacing looks reasonably even across the sample, yet the visual noise from the erosion means the letterforms are more comfortable at larger display sizes. The typeface works well where impact and texture matter, while extended passages and small captions quickly lose clarity.
