Myriad Pro Font
Free for personal useAbout
Engineered for ultimate versatility, the Myriad Pro Font Family is one of the most recognizable humanist sans-serifs of the modern era. Designed in 1992 by Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly for Adobe, it was created to be an all-purpose typeface with perfectly straight stems, flat endings, and open, warm letter proportions. It is easily distinguished by the unique slanted descender on its lowercase ‘y’ and a slightly tilted ‘e’, giving it a subtle human touch that breaks away from cold, mechanical geometry.
Because of its exceptionally clean shapes and non-offensive neutrality, it is an incredibly dependable choice for large-scale corporate branding, dense software manuals, and modern user interfaces—famously serving as Apple’s corporate font for over a decade. However, this extreme ubiquity means it is a poor choice for highly unique or artistic boutique identities, where it will likely feel too common and uninspired. It is the definition of a practical workhorse font.
Best For:
– large-scale corporate branding
– dense software manuals
– modern user interfaces
– professional annual reports
Not Ideal For:
– artistic boutique identities
– vintage or retro packaging
– highly stylized event stationary
Perfect for body text, branding, and editorial, with a classic and sans serif style.
