Palanquin Font

Palanquin is a Unicode-compliant text family that covers Latin and Devanagari, combining a clean sans serif structure with slightly beveled horizontals and a tall x-height for reliable legibility on screens. Strokes are mostly monolinear with gentle contrast, spacing runs on the tighter side, and its slimmer proportions help fit more content without feeling cramped. It works particularly well for app UIs, documentation sites, multilingual dashboards, and editorial-style interfaces where you want something quiet but not bland. For very loud branding or ultra-expressive display work, it can feel too restrained, in which case the darker companion or a more characterful display face will serve better.
